Katy Perry Earns 9th No. 1 Hit With "Dark Horse"
Thanks to her broomstick pole dance to "Dark Horse" at the GRAMMYs, Katy Perry sent her Prism single to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Juicy J-assisted trap track marks the singer's ninth chart topper since her 2008 debut single "I Kissed a Girl."
Katy is now in a five-way tie for 10th place among artists with the most Hot 100 No. 1 songs: Usher, Paul McCartney, Elton John and the Bee Gees also have nine chart toppers.
The accomplishment also puts the Prism singer in seventh place among females with the most No. 1s. She trails behind Mariah Carey (with 18), Rihanna (13), Madonna (12), the Supremes (12), Whitney Houston (11) and Janet Jackson (10).
In case you forgot, Katy's nine Hot 100 champs are...drumroll please...
Congrats, Katy!
