Nicki Minaj Slams ESPN Mag for Retouching Her Forehead on Cover
While Nicki Minaj tweeted that she was "so honored" to pose with Kobe Bryant on the cover of ESPN magazine, she wasn't so pleased with how she looked on the cover. More specifically, she wasn't happy with the size of her forehead.
The YMCMB rapper posted the ESPN cover on her Instagram account (see right) with the caption, "When retouching goes wrong." She followed up by uploading seven behind-the-scenes shots, one accompanied with the diss, "I love my personal unretouched photos where my forehead doesn't mysteriously grow in length."
The magazine has responded to the claim, with editor-in-chief Chad Millman telling Toofab, "The forehead Ms. Minaj walked in with is the one on the cover and we're thrilled she participated.
"While we occasionally make minor visual and cosmetic adjustments to cover images, we do not significantly change a person's unique physical characteristics. The folks on our covers are too proud of their bodies to stand for that."
While Nicki hasn't uploaded an untouched version of the actual photo used for the cover, the additional pics from the shoot show that the forehead in question does indeed look somewhat tinier than on the published cover.
Will Nicki's Barbz rage against the sports publication like Britney Spears' fans did to Lucky when that mag hooked up the pop star with one of the world's fakest wigs? Or will they accept the mag's response?
