Chris Brown Sets (Final?) Release Date for Long-Delayed 'X' Album
Great news for Breezy fans: Chris Brown's sixth album X will see a 2014 spring release after numerous delays and canceled drop dates.
The double-disc album—which Brown calls "by far my best album yet"—will drop on May 5, 2014. But feel free to regard May 5 as a "maybe-probably" release date: After all, he promised the Breakfast Club his new album was "definitely" dropping last November, then moved it to December 3, then pushed it back indefinitely.
Not that he's been entirely silent. Breezy released the free EP X Files—boasting some confessional/emo lyrics—back in November to satisfy fans, and he's been extremely busy working on himself. Despite fulfilling his court-ordered rehab stay, Brown recently decided to extend his anger management therapy, reportedly because he wants to make sure he's 100% ready to control his temper when he returns to society.
By the way, CB is back on Instagram after deleting his page over a year ago. His new Insta account is accompanied by the caption, "The capacity to overthink also emmobilizes [sic] us with fear... Therefore, being fearless can assure ur sanity!"
