Two weeks after cops raided Justin Bieber's pad in Calabasas, CA, and found drugs at the premises, his friend Lil Za has been charged with three felonies.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office charged Lil Za with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, for MDMA (a form of ecstasy) and Oxycodone. The third felony charge is for damaging a jail phone while he was being detained at the Lost Hills/ Malibu Sheriff's Station, MTV reports.
Police said the the drugs were "in plain view" at Bieber's home on January 14, while they were searching for evidence in the alleged egging of a neighbor's home.
The LAPD held a press conference earlier this months and said Bieber was "not connected" to the substance found in his residence. A prosecutor is expected to decide as early as next week whether Bieber will be charged with felony vandalism in connection with the case.
Also, late yesterday, the pop star's plane was detained and searched by drug-sniffing dogs at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey when U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers said they detected the odor, CNN reports. Bieber was interviewed for several hours before being cleared to enter the United States after they concluded that no drugs or illegal substances were found.
