"Crack-smoking mayor" will probably always be Rob Ford's calling card whether he likes it or not, but he's working on adding a new title to his resume: DJ.

The mayor Toronto recently laid down some beats at a fundraiser for cash-strapped local bands headed to Austin for SXSW. With the aid of an actual DJ/producer named Memorecks, Ford hit the Toronto nightclub The Rivoli over the weekend and tried his hand at the art of DJ-ing using an electronic drum pad.

As you can see in the incredible footage above, Ford's fingers stabbed at the drum pad with the confused ferocity of someone over 70 trying to write an email. Feel free to smirk, but keep this in mind: If you see a Toronto-based band at SXSW this March, you have Mixmaster Rob Ford to thank.
