Update: Girl Talk and Freeway have released the video for "Tolerated," the first track from their upcoming Broken Ankles EP. In the clip, the pair get physically violent with people on the street, shoving children, teens and even a wedding procession. Eventually they start ripping off strangers' limbs and feeding them to Waka Flocka Flame. At one point Freeway rips off a guy's head and plays basketball with it. If the sight of blood makes you feel squeamish, don't press play.
3/25 Story: Judging by the recent Cam'ron and A-Trak collaboration, 2014 is ripe for strange rapper/DJ pairings.
Next in line are mashup DJ Girl Talk and Philly rapper Freeway. The two will release Broken Ankles—a free collaborative EP featuring guest verses from Waka Flocka Flame, Young Chris and Jadakiss—on April 8 via DatPiff.
The first glimpse into their wild world of fast beats and unconventional hip hop comes in the form of a fifteen second teaser for the track "Tolerated" featuring Waka. The chaotic clip opens with Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis) and Freeway standing in front of a pickup truck. The camera zooms in to expose a man in tux, clutching his right eye which is spewing blood. The camera zooms out once more, showing a man at a dinner table standing next to a stuffed vulture. Waka doesn't make an appearance.
The word "TOLERATED" flashes and the teaser concludes with a crying bride covered in cake. It might be brief, but it's not for the faint of heart.
