It seems like everyone has an opinion regarding the apologetic text that Macklemore sent Kendrick Lamar just hours after taking home the GRAMMY for Best Rap Album. (Basic gist of the text: "You should have won.") Drake wasn't feeling the gesture, and said it "felt cheap," but K-Dot has been tight-lipped about the whole thing until now.

In a cover story for Billboard, the good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper accepts Macklemore's guilt with good grace. "That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude," Lamar said. "However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people's souls, and no one can take that away. Really, the whole GRAMMY moment was incredible. Not everyone gets that shot."

Case closed! Now on to a collaboration, right?
