Fuse Favorite: Watch Kesington Kross on Fuse All Week

Orange County born, Compton raised singer-songwriter Kesington Kross is a talent to be reckoned with. The R&B artist is drawing comparisons to Frank Ocean and Prince and his "Gimme Your Love" single is a knockout. Once you've heard it, you can't (and won't) want to get it out of your head.

"I really wanted to create a song that was as simple as when you see love at first sight. You look at someone and say, 'She's the one,'" Kross tells Fuse of "Gimme Your Love." "That why I wanted to make sure the lyrics were simple and memorable. It was about stripping down and then building up [the music] with authentic '80s synths."

As for the "Gimme Your Love" video's futuristic vibe, the R&B scribe tells us his visual influences are as diverse as his musical influences. "I've always been in awe of this movie called Blade Runner," Kross says of the 1982 classic. "When you're pushing the envelope, sometimes people don’t believe in you. And people didn’t believe in Blade Runner and now it's become this huge cult classic. It was victorious and it's still one of the most captivating pieces of work. I wanted to pay homage to that. The second movie I love is Lost Boys, so I put a bit of that youthful, wild, free energy in there." Watch the video below.
