Migos Involved in Shootout on Florida Highway
At least one member of Atlanta hip hop trio Migos was involved in a shootout on a Miami highway that injured a bodyguard, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Miami's Local 10 reports that early Friday morning "an unknown dark vehicle drove alongside [Migos' van] and opened fire, firing several rounds" into the van transporting eight people.
"A member of the group was in possession of his personal handgun and he returned fire," Florida Trooper Joe Sanchez told Miami's WSVN. A member of Migos' security team reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown at the time.
Local 10 reports the altercation began at Cafe Iguana, located just outside of Miami in Pembroke Pines. It's unknown if the firing was a deliberate "hit" or a road rage incident.
Additionally, a bullet hit Migos van's gas tank, causing a leak. Firefighters were called to the scene to clean up diesel fuel.
