Nas is celebrating the 20th birthday of his classic debut album Illmatic with an expansive reissue that includes a documentary focusing on the making of the album. Today it was announced that the film, titled Time is Illmatic, will headline this year's Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The documentary will make its world premiere at April 16 at the Beacon Theatre, after which Nas will perform songs from the album. Subsequent screenings are on April 18 and April 25. A day before the initial showing, the double-disc Illmatic XX will drop. The reissue includes alternate mixes and demos of tracks from the original album, as well as rarities from that era.

Nas will also perform the album in full across the country this summer, including at Coachella and Lollapalooza. Watch a clip from Time is Illmatic below.
