Less than two months after Cee Lo Green announced his departure from The Voice, the beloved singing competition has added everyone's favorite producer/singer Pharrell as a new coach. The show made the announcement on its Twitter today (above).

It's not clear exactly who will be joining the "Happy" singer for Season 7. Adam Levine tweeted "Welcome to the circus dude!" at Pharrell, so we know he's in for sure. We expect Blake Shelton to return for his seventh season as well as Christina Aguilera, who returns for every fall season while Shakira fills in during the spring.

We think he'll fit in nicely with the panel, who have made a concentrated effort to be constructive and helpful for contestants rather than shaming and embarrassing them a la Simon Cowell. I mean, seriously, could you imagine Pharrell being an a-hole to anyone...on national TV nonetheless?

Now that we have America's hottest hitmaker on The Voice, maybe he'll churn out banging beats for the contestants. Season 3 champ Cassadee Pope is still the show's biggest success story still after a Top 10 album and Top 40 single—no other contestants can claim success nearly as big... yet.
