Every year on the eve of the Oscars, another type of the award show takes place in which the Hollywood elite are also honored. They’re called the Razzies, perhaps you’re familiar with them. If not, they’re just like the Oscars except instead of awarding the best in cinema they recognize the very worst.
This year’s 34th Annual Razzie Awards, presented by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation (made up of 800 members), awarded some of our favorite A-listers including Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith for their work in the sci-fi film After Earth.
The elder Smith won a Worst Actor award, while his son got Worst Supporting Actor, and they both got Worst Screen Combo. Ouch!
Good thing Will is staying out of movies for a while. Currently he is working on an EDM-based TV comedy along with Calvin Harris and Jay Z. The show is completely "set in the world of electronic music."
Here's a refresher of After Earth, in case you missed it. Deliberately.
