Beyonce's "Standing on the Sun" Finally Gets a High-Quality Release
Exactly one year after Beyonce's "Standing on the Sun" made its debut as part of a steamy H&M ad, a high-quality version of Mrs. Carter's summery jam is finally here.
Unlike the leaks that surfaced last summer, the audio on this (leaked?) version of "Standing on the Sun" is sharp and robust.
The song itself is a pleasant, island-tinged pop anthem that was understandably left off her self-titled release—all things considered, it pales in comparison to songs like the powerful "Pretty Hurts" or the ecstatic "XO."
But when Beyonce turns into 'Yonce to drop a reggae-flavored verse on her own song, it's undeniably badass. Listen to the HQ version of "Standing on the Sun" above.
