UPDATE (9/29): It's here! A few months ago we reported that My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way recorded a tune for the upcoming horror film, Tusk. The singer later revealed to KROQ that the track was actually a reworking of the 1600s English folk song, "Oh, Waly, Waly." After Tusk hit theaters late last week, the ghostly song has been making the rounds on My Chem fan blogs everywhere, usually via bootleg YouTube recordings. Original Story: For fans mourning the death of My Chemical Romance, good news is here. Frontman Gerard Way has recorded a track for Kevin Smith's upcoming horror flick, Tusk. Smith announced the news on Twitter: "Holy s**t! The cherry on top of the TUSK sundae? @GerardWay just recorded the most achingly beautiful closing song for the flick! #WalrusYes"
Way followed up with, "Recording session went really late last night but finished the song in one day. Very happy but been off the grid."
