When Christina Aguilera announced she was pregnant earlier this year (and with a baby girl!) rumors started flying as to who would replace her on season 7 of The Voice.

According to the Hollywood ReporterGwen Stefani is in talks with NBC to join the reality singing series as their next coach. If Stefani ends up filling in for Aguilera, she won't be the only newbie. It was announced last month that Pharrell Williams would be joining The Voice as a judge filling in for Cee Lo Green

If you recall, Williams and Stefani recently joined forces onstage. During the first weekend of Coachella, the "Happy" singer brought out Stefani during his set and the two performed the Neptunes-produced "Hollaback Girl." He also said, while they were onstage, that he "promised big things" for her.

"Before she leaves, I have not seen her in nine months," Williams said at Coachella, referring to the recent birth of Stefani's baby boy. "Look how amazing the queen looks as she is making her arrival back to the music industry."

Some speculated that his comments hinted that Stefani was working on a new solo album, a follow-up to her 2006  The Sweet Escape. Though perhaps Williams was referring to these NBC negotiations. Who knows!?

Voice regulars, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, are expected to return for the next season, which begins taping in June.

Previous coaches, and guest mentors, include ShakiraUsherMiranda Lambert, Aloe Blacc, Jill Scott, the Band Perry, and Chris Martin.
