Jack White Reveals New Album 'Lazaretto' Coming This Summer
Jack White is returning this summer with a new solo album Lazaretto, the follow-up to 2012's GRAMMY-Award winning Blunderbuss. While details are scarce, we do know a few things: The album's title track is the first single and will be released later this month and to tide us over, and he's released a high-charged instrumental called "High Ball Stepper," which you can stream below.
The album arrives June 10th on his Third Man label and he's making the vinyl offering very Jack White-y: The vinyl LP is pressed in split blue and white and the set comes with a 7" with two Lazaretto demos, a rare linen postcard and a 40-page hardbound book complete with lyrics, photos and art.
You have until April 30 to sign up for this version through the Third Man Vault and the quantities are limited. Right now, White has a handful of headlining festival dates booked for this summer, including the Governors Ball in New York City, Bonnaroo, Forecastle Festival in Louisville, K.Y., and Montreal's Osheaga Festival.
