Lana Del Rey's "West Coast" Gets a Radio-Friendly Mix from Dan Auerbach
Last week, Lana Del Rey finally dropped her new single "West Coast," a song presumably from her forthcoming album Ultraviolence. It sounded a bit un-Lana like, too. Gone were the grandiose orchestrations—instead, she honed in on a bluesier vibe.
She tapped Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach for production duties and yesterday, his mix of "West Coast" surfaced. This version brings her vocals to the forefront a bit more for what's being billed as "the radio version." You can stream it below.
Lana Del Rey is currently on a coast-to-coast theater tour, after recently playing both weekends at Coachella. It was just announced this morning that she'll also play the 2014 Austin City Limits Music Festival.
