The Libertines Announce Summer Reunion Concert
Exactly one decade after falling apart in shambles, beloved British rock band the Libertines are getting back together for their second-ever reunion gig this summer.
The classic lineup will play London's British Summer Time Festival, presumably because they were offered a queen's ransom to do so. They'll hit the stage in Hyde Park on July 5, which means any diehard American fans who want to see this reunion will have to celebrate our independence from Britain in Britain. Awkward….
This reunion comes four years after tabloid favorite Pete Doherty buried the hatchet with Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell to play the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2010.
Here's hoping the likely lads hop across the pond sooner than later to play a reunion gig on U.S. soil.
