Duff hasn't put out any music since 2007's Dignity, and she's eager to get back at it, as we've seen from an Instagram snap she posted in the fall. She's not messing around with her returning LP, either, which embraces an "earthy, indie-pop vibe." She told MTV News that she's currently writing and working with a ton of people, including Savan Kotecha, whose name you may recognize from the writing credits of Ariana Grande's "Problem." She's also going to be working with Sheeran ASAP. Like, as soon as the weekend's over.
"I’m cutting an Ed Sheeran song next week, which I’m really excited about," she tells MTV News. “It feels good to be in the studio. It feels good to be talking about my last few years — the high points and the low points ... I really just want to be honest and be an open book for my fans to know where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing, how I feel and all that good stuff. So, I should have a single soon, and an album by the fall."
Here's hoping Lizzie McGuire and Señor Sheerio get along great behind the mic!
