Legendary metal band GWAR will continue with their fifth annual GWAR-B-Q following the passing of frontman Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus earlier this year. He was 50 years old.

The gathering will take place Saturday, August 16 at Hadad's Lake in Richmond, Virginia. The event's press release teased that Beefcake the Mighty aka Mike Bishop will front the group's GWAR-B-Q performance. Bishop was the on-and-off bassist for GWAR from the late '80s to the late '90s.

The day before the festival, Friday, August 15, GWAR will host a viking funeral for their late bandmate, whose costume will burn upon the SS Boat (presumably on his way to Valhalla.) A public memorial will take place from 4pm-7pm.

Tickets go on sale June 6 and are available through the band's official website. GWAR are also slated to play this year's Riot Fest.
