Just before receiving the Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards for her stunning two-decade career, J.Lo revealed her debut book, True Love, will come out this October in both English and Spanish.

The Puerto Rican pop star told People at Sunday's Billboard Music Awards, "What's funny is, I didn't start off the project wanting to bare my soul in print. It started off as a diary of the year I went on tour … and when I was on the road, it became something else. I really surprised myself, and I realized, 'Oh my god, I'm writing this book.'"

She added, "Even to this day, I think, 'Do I put this book out there?' I did a lot of soul searching and praying, because I don't ever want it to be mistaken for anything other than it was, which is sharing something I learned with people I could help."

The "Jenny From the Block" singer will donation a portion of the book's proceeds to her Lopez Family Foundation which aims to improve the lives of women and children. You go, girl!

True Love will come out October 28, four months after her new album A.K.A. drops.
