Trouble in boy band paradise! One Direction's Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were caught on video lighting up a joint before a show in Peru. The UK's Daily Mail leaked the a five minute clip of the boys using—er, recreational drugs in a van.

It's Tomlinson who should be shaking his head after this clip made it online. At one point he pans to a police officer and says, "That’s the po po. One-nil," before adding, "'He’s having a look. He’s thinking, 'I’m sure I can smell an illegal substance in there.' And he’s hit the nail on the head."

Malik, aware of the implications of the footage, casually calls what they're doing "very controversial."

Not the best image for the British heartthrobs, eh? Boys will be boys? SugarScape says a rep for the band simply said, "This matter is in the hands of our lawyers." So expect this footage to come down soon, and a Bieber-esque apology sometime after that.

Billboard reports that Marijuana is illegal in Peru but there's a way around it. Possession is not punishable by law if it's for personal, immediate use... and is under eight grams. 1D might be okay after all!
