Apparently, thousands of people actually support Solange trying to beat the crap out of Jay Z.

According to social media metrics company Next Big Sound, Solange's Facebook "likes" exploded after last week's infamous hotel elevator fight. While Solange had gained 2,810 followers in the three days prior, the "Losing You" singer gained 6,800 "likes" from May 11 through 13—the three days where the scuffle was revealed. Overall, that's a 1,210 percent increase from the prior period.

In that same time frame, Solange's Twitter mentions jumped an incredible 9,701 percent (from 676 to 66,300 mentions) and her Wikipedia page views increased 5,168 percent (from 6,040 to 318,000 views).

While the increase in Twitter mentions and Wikipedia activity is predictable following such a highly-publicized story, we don't think anyone would have guessed Bey's little sis would gain a gaggle of new Facebook friends.

Imagine how many more she'd have gotten if we heard what she said.
