Taylor Swift kicked off the beginning of the end of her Red Tour in Shanghai yesterday, but she's already looking forward to her next big thing: Taylor's hard at work on the follow-up to 2012's Red, and it's set to be her best--and most favorite--record yet.

In a press conference in Shanghai, Taylor gushed about the new record, which she's already begun working on and looking forward to returning to once she's back stateside.

"That is my favorite question yet!" she says, answering that whole "What's up with a new record?" inquiry on everybody's minds. "With ending the Red Tour, it's been a very long tour, and we've taken the tour all over the world, and this will be our last leg of the Red Tour. We're not going to announce some other leg of the tour, but what that does mean is I can throw myself into the next project. I've already been working very hard on it, and it's already my favorite thing that I've ever created. The idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything, and get everything completely done and wrapped up for a new project, it's very exciting. It's exciting to be here, and it's exciting to know that this is the end of a sort of a musical era of my life that I'm very proud of. It's also exciting to move onto the next one."

The Red Tour wraps on June 12 in Singapore, so here's hoping we get new Taylor tuneage by the close of 2014.
