FUSE TV - Alt-J Sample Miley Cyrus on New Single "Hunger of the Pine"
Acclaimed British rock band Alt-J are set to return this fall with This Is All Yours, the follow-up to their 2012 breakout debut An Awesome Wave. And they're bringing Miley Cyrus with them.
"Hunger of the Pine" is the first single and it's a haunting, atmospheric track that incorporates a Miley vocal sample where the pop star chants "I'm a female rebel," taken from her country-rap Bangerz track "4x4."
At least on this song, they've ditched the angular guitars that lined their first album for a broader, spacier sound. We'll have to wait and see how the rest of This Is All Yours pans out, but it's safe to say that Alt-J are back in fine form.
