Father John Misty Covers Cat Stevens' "Trouble"
Folkie Father John Misty is currently recording I Love You, Honeybear, the follow-up to his 2012 breakout album Fear Fun. But the L.A. musician took time out to contribute a track to the upcoming documentary Once I Was: The Hal Ashby Story.
The song he chose is a cover of Cat Stevens' "Trouble," which pops up in Ashby's signature film Harold and Maude, and it's a faithful rendition of the classic folk song. Father John Misty's quivering voice is front and center, with faint pianos and organs humming along in the background. Check out the song below.
