Nicki Minaj's hotly anticipated new record, The Pink Printmay be dropping before Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V -- but that doesn't mean the two hyper prolific Young Money rappers aren't keeping busy hitting the studio together.

In a recent interview with DJ Semtek for BBC1's Xtra, Minaj revealed a few Pink Print details and raised the bar even higher for the album by comparing it to another hip-hop great's now-classic. "Jay [Z] has had his Blueprint albums and that’s what I feel like this album’s gonna be. I really feel like this album will be like a Blueprint for female rappers to come ... I think the second album lacked a little bit of focus. I think the first album was very focused and very raw and just very real, and I think the third album is back to just being raw and real. I’m addressing things that I’ve never addressed before on the third album.”

Before confirming that she's got new tracks to drop over the course of the next couple of weeks, Minaj addressed the Weezy question. Lil Wayne and Minaj have been hanging in the same studio, but his involvement with The Pink Print--or hers with Tha Carter V--is still up in the air. "I sent him something he liked, but I didn’t hear his verse yet," she said. "But I think overall my connection with Wayne is so deep that I don’t gotta be on his album and he don’t gotta be on my album for him to always play a role of mentor in my life.”
