Here's a new one—everyone's favorite ethereal English indie band, Alt-J, have completely changed directions. Things are getting classic rock.

Today the band shared "Left Hand Free," the second song (the first was the Miley-sampling "Hunger of the Pine") and first single from their upcoming sophomore release, This Is All Yours, out September 22.

The track is about as Southern rock as it gets: an almost twangy guitar line forces the song along, guided only by singer Joe Newman's enigmatic vocals. This is Alt-J at their Black Keys-esque best, and that's not a bad thing.
