After Gwen Stefani's surprise Coachella appearance and new gig as a coach on The Voice, fans started salivating at the thought of a new "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" solo record from the No Doubt frontwoman. While Gwennie has stayed mum on the subject, Diplo may have just confirmed the LP is indeed coming.

In new interview with Idolator, Diplo talks mostly about his work with Madonna and his Major Lazer crew—all previously confirmed. But tucked inside the Q&A is a subtle confirmation that, yes, a new Stefani appears to be in the works.

When asked about other artists he's collaborating with Diplo name-dropped UsherPusha T and said he had "done some stuff for Gwen Stefani for her new record, possibly."

It was only three years ago that Gwen said her days as a solo act were probably over, calling her 2004 and 2006 albums "a moment in went on a little longer than we all thought it would."

Should a Gwen record finally make its way out, let us pray to the pop gods that there are tracks at least half as brilliant as "Hollaback Girl."
