Now that the Foo Fighters are winding down on this cross-country trek of musical greatness, it's time to commit to some hard and fast dates for the premiere of Sonic Highways, both onscreen and through your speakers.

It was previously announced that Sonic Highways, the documentary series following the Foo Fighters as they write and record their eighth studio album in eight American cities, would premiere on HBO October 17. Now, that premiere is met with another important day to remember for Foo fans, as November 10 will serve as the record's release date.

To celebrate their news, a clip of Dave Grohl getting tatted up greets visitors at the Foo Fighters' website, which also boasts the album's track list and its (fantastic) cover art for Sonic Highways that pulls from the cities that inspired and played host to their creative process. As for Grohl's tattoo, which plays on an infinity symbol (and the number 8, which pops up all over any conversation about Sonic Highways), the sentiment is an intriguing sign of epic things to come: "In the end, we all come from what's come before."

The track list sticks to the theme, too: Sonic Highways clocks in at about 44 minutes that stretch out over the course of eight songs. Watch this space for additional updates, but in the meantime, set your DVR now!
