G-Dragon Headlines KCON 2014: 5 Must-See Videos Before His Concert

The singer/rapper plays America's biggest K-pop festival this weekend. Here's what we're hoping to see live!

BIGBANG on Youtube

This weekend marks the third annual KCON, America's largest K-pop festival. When it was created in 2012, the Los Angeles convention was a single-day hurrah of all things Korean pop culture with panels, workshops, artist meet-and-greets and a huge concert with multiple K-pop acts to end the day. Today, KCON now spans across two days of festivities with concerts each night. This year, the fest promises longer sets from each artist, which means more time needed to obsess over what songs we might potentially hear live. So. Many. Options. (!!!)

After killing it at KCON 2013 and even bringing out Missy Elliott for a collaboration, G-Dragon headlines the first day of concerts. To adequately prepare you for the BIGBANG member's sure-to-be-cray setlist, we've compiled a list of five videos you'll need to see ahead of KCON. Get the songs and raps stuck in your head, make you sure have the choreography down pat and end Day 1 on in a euphoric K-pop state that will rev you up for Day 2.

1 / 5

Considered one of G-Dragon's signature tracks, this crazy dance joint is guaranteed to make the KCON audience go nuts. Expect the entire stadium to shout along to the addictive "Get your cray on!" hook during the intense dance break. (Boatloads of confetti will probably accompany it as well.)

2 / 5

With the release of his Coup D'Etat, Pt. 1 EP in September, G-Dragon solidified himself as the only K-pop act (so far) to land two consecutive albums on the Billboard 200 chart. This punky, rocky single has proven to be the fan favorite off the record with more than 28 million views on YouTube.

Prepare your legs for massive amounts of jumping during this performance.

3 / 5

"One of a Kind"

This knocking hip hop joint is another classic GD track. For one of his most memorable looks in the accompanying vid, the 25-year-old reinterpreted the "Explicit Content" sticker with his "One of a Kind" phrase. If you want to find fellow G-Dragon stans quickly, look for the black-and-white logo many are sure to be sporting.

4 / 5

"Coup D'Etat"

With G-Dragon performing at KCON just last year, we expect him to lean more on his new material off his Coup D'Etat EPs.

We could certainly imagine him kicking off his KCON set with the EP's trap-influenced title track, produced by Diplo and Baauer. With its Western-leaning production, the subtle, moody single is the perfect song to begin a set that blends the two cultures together at KCON.

And then, of course, we'll move into the crazy party jams quickly afterwards.

5 / 5

"Who You?"

Another Coup D'Etat smash, and probably the most #feelz-inducing of his set. Over the peppy piano production, GD raps and sings about the sad side of love and getting over someone. We've all been there and with "Who You?" peppered into the set, GD hits on all the fan girl and fan boy feelings as they shout along to the cheeky lyrics.
