UPDATE (9/4): Despite The Insider claiming to have quotes from Nick Cannon confirming there was trouble with his marriage to Mariah Carey, the rapper wrote on Twitter that he has never made any type of statement. Cannon added it was "a challenging time for me and my family." But he stood up for his wifey writing, "What infuriates me most is to hear people slander @MariahCarey ... I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!!!"

Original Story (8/21): Well, here's some news we did not want to end our day with. Amid rumors swirling that there was trouble in his six-year marriage, Nick Cannon has confirmed he and wife Mariah Carey have been living apart for a few months.

"There is trouble in paradise," the White People Party Music singer/rapper told The Insider. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months."

While Cannon hasn't cited a reason for the time apart, he dispelled gossip that it was due to him being unfaithful.

"My main focus is my kids," he added, referring to the couple's twin son and daughter, Moroccan and Monroe, aka "Dem Babies."

Here's to hoping it all fixes itself soon. Our favorite singers have already put us through too much heartbreak already.
