Everyone knows a haunted house can get that much freakier when the music is equally terrifying. Universal Studios must've kept this in mind when they recruited rock legend Slash to soundtrack its haunted maze, Clowns 3D, that comes as part of its annual Halloween celebration, Halloween Horror Nights.

In a maze that not only has creepy clowns and knife-wielding ghouls jumping out at you, patrons wear 3D glasses to have even more horrifying things get all up in your face. In the video announcing the partnership (watch above), Slash says he looked to create "bombastic" music to accompany the terrifying journey.

According to a short clip we hear above, the result is a mix of old-circus organs with the former Guns N' Roses guitarist's signature shredding. Killer.

Halloween Horror Nights' creative director John Murdy told the guitarist, "When you sent me the track and I listened to it, immediately I went, 'Oh, I love the melody, I love the riff. It sounds like it belongs in a horror movie, but it also sounds like Slash.'"

Just another reason to scream for new Slash music. Clowns 3D Music By Slash opens September 19.
