Well, this is a massive bummer: Avicii's luck in 2014 hasn't quite turned around as far as his health's concerned, and the prolific DJ and EDM headliner will be taking a break from touring by canceling all scheduled engagements through the end of the year.

Back in March, Avicii had to back out of his headlining slot at Ultra after a blocked gall bladder and ruptured appendix landed him in the hospital. Since the emergency surgery post-Ultra, his health has kept him from additional gigs, and it looks like he'll be taking some time off by canceling his remaining tour dates in order to focus on fully recovering.

The official statement from At Night Management:

At Night Management has tabled all touring and promotional activities for Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, until further notice so that he can fully recuperate from lingering health issues related to surgeries that removed his gall bladder and appendix earlier this year.

The international superstar, who is the #1 Most Influential Artist Under 25 according to Spotify, is taking a break at home in Stockholm so he can regain his strength and physical well-being before the release of a new album project next year.

Double bummer? Today's Avicii's 25th birthday. We'll be throwing "A Sky Full Of Stars" on repeat and hoping that some birthday cake and a speedy recovery are in the not-so-distant future for the EDM superstar.
