When Blink-182 went on indefinite hiatus in 2005, no one knew what the future of the band would hold. Eventually all its members, guitarist Tom DeLonge, bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker, would go on and form different bands. Tom, for his part, founded the space-obsessed Angels & Airwaves. The group has gone through a series of lineup changes, and this year became a duo: Tom with Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin. Today they've shared "Paralyzed," the band's first new track since the 2011 album Love: Part Two.

The song brings bass to the forefront more than Angels & Airwaves' previous releases. That's right, folks—it's getting heavy over here. DeLonge told Rolling Stone, "Lyrically, the song is about sleep paralysis. I think we needed something that would turn heads and ignite a fan base of post-hardcore punk-rock kids that might still be lingering there from my earlier years." We're ready!
