Listen to "Something From Nothing" Off the Foo Fighters' 'Sonic Highways'
As we're gearing up for the premiere of the Foo Fighters' mini series on HBO that documents the creation of their next record, Sonic Highways, it was only a matter of time before we got our hands on the first track—and now it's finally here!
"Something For Nothing" was the first new Foos song to make a cameo in the Sonic Highways trailer, as it provides the soundtrack while Dave Grohl walks us through the artistic reach of the album and why they opted to record its eight songs in eight different cities. Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick's contribution to the project is just as '80s-hair-band-beautiful as you'd expect, with some serious guitar work on "Something For Nothing" making for a memorable memento from their time in Chicago together.
