Rihanna's go-to EDM maestro Calvin Harris has said that a new album from the pop star is in the final stages. In a new interview with the UK's KISS FM (above), the "Pray to God" producer hinted that something is coming when asked if he'd been called to work on Rih's upcoming eighth album.

"Yeah, I speak to her manager all the time because I know him quite well," he explained. "Because I was finishing [my] record [Motion] and I think her album's due really soon, I didn't have time...I need to make time for me, because it's me first, right? I had an album to finish so I did that."

The "We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been" mastermind added that he did send one track over to Camp RiRi where "Tinashe wrote the top line and I did all the music."

But despite the hit-making collabo, Harris isn't confident it'll make the cut. "I don't think she was into it," he admitted. "I don't know what's going to happen to it because it's really good...I love it."

First, Grimes and Blood Diamonds were rejected from the forthcoming record for their blazing banger "Go." Now, a Calvin Harris/Tinashe joint likely won't make the cut? This Rihanna album better be a-f*cking-mazing.
