As if Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" could've gotten more emotional and relatable, somebody had to go and mash it up with Lisa Loeb's "Stay" for one perfect, decade-crossing guilty pleasure.

Mashup wiz kid Chambaland spliced together Smith's career-making single off his debut, In The Lonely Hour, with Loeb's most famous hit. While Smith's vocals remain intact, the slow and steady piano is replaced by the uplifting strums from Loeb's acoustic guitar, with the singer standing in for Smith by adding her final strains of "Stay" towards the end.

That'd be a mashup we'd love to see played out live and in the flesh, but it seems like Mary J. Blige has got dibs on sharing the stage with Smith if any famous voice will be at all!

Listen to Chambaland's "Stay With Me"/"Stay" mashup below for a hefty dose of '90s coffeehouse nostalgia. Smith's still riding the high of In The Lonely Hour, but he can be heard on Mary J. Blige's upcoming, anticipated full-length The London Sessions.
