Hear that? The elated echo of screams of unhinged joy set to an insane bass line? It's the sound of D'Angelo fans the world over freaking the hell out over the fact that the R&B titan is finally back, as he pulled a Beyoncé and dropped a surprise album last night.

New D'angelo track "Sugah Daddy" was making the rounds as early as Friday when it hit Soundcloud, but the ebullient flow of the single is now joined by the rest of Black Messiah, D'Angelo's first full-length release since his 2000 opus Voodoo.

The internet went ballistic (understandably) and gobbled up the new tracks immediately. "Sugah Daddy" made its first appearance in 2012 when D and his band played it out on tour, so to finally have a studio version kicking around is the icing on the delicious comeback cake. D'Angelo had been teasing the album that would become Black Messiah since about that time, though his manager confirmed to Billboard earlier this year that the follow-up to Voodoo would be here before 2015.

Hopefully he'll be touring stateside soon behind the record, as the only dates he's announced so far have him trekking through Europe in 2015. Give "Sugah Daddy" a spin below, and stay tuned for more info on D'Angelo's Black Messiah.
