Blur Returns with "Go Out," Announces New Album
Damon Albarn's recent solo activities (his Everyday Robots album, his performance for an actual crowd of robots in Japan) have had us wondering whether Blur would be making a comeback any time soon. The official answer, as of today, is yes. The English band will return, for the first time since 2003's Think Tank, on April 28 with The Magic Whip.
"We didn't have much [equipment]; it was like back when we first started recording stuff," Albarn told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. The record—Blur's eighth—was made in Hong Kong in just five days. Check out the quirky, fuzzy first single, "Go Out," right here:
