While we get hyped up for Rihanna's eighth album, pop's baddest chick has a handful of new tracks coming coming very soon. The singer is not only a lead voice actor on upcoming DreamWorks' animated film Home, but also recorded a concept album based around the film. The first song from the soundtrack, "Towards the Sun," surfaced today.

Rih opens the tune with near-operatic vocals to build to an empowering chorus, singing "Turn your face towards the sun / Let the shadows fall behind you." Military drums, tribal calls and anthemic chants are added to the mix to give the song a very, appropriately, cinematic feel. Listen below:

In comparison to the rawness of Rihanna's Kanye West/Paul McCartney collab "FourFiveSeconds," this new track sounds a little more like the smoothly pop-oriented singer we're used to hearing. It should satisfy Top 40 fans until the star delivers her next banger.

Home hits theaters on March 27 with the accompanying soundtrack, which DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg confirmed will include 12 (!) new songs, likely coming around the same time.
