Canadian post-hardcore prodigies Alexisonfire are getting the band back together. Their breakup was announced in 2011, and the five-piece played a series of goodbye gigs the following year.

The reunion news came through a newly formed Instagram account (which has already racked up 22,000 followers). First it was just the band's logo and today's date, quickly followed by a look at the international festivals the band will hit up, among them Reading, Leeds, Sonic Boom and Heavy Montréal. American fans should hang tight: there's a big line proclaiming "USA – TBA."

Frontman George Pettit—the screaming one—shared an official website post in 2011 explaining the split, which was related two members' departures.  "Was the breakup amicable?" he wrote. "Not really. Was it necessary? Probably."

Alexisonfire's self-titled debut landed in 2002. The group released four albums and two EPs in total. Think we've got any new studio material coming our way with the 2015 reunion?
