Maroon 5's "Sugar," the third single from their 2014 album V, has been finding its way into all our heads lately. (And onto the Billboard Hot 100, where it's currently sitting at No. 3.) So there's no time like the present to serve up a remix with one of rap's reigning talents, Ms. Nicki Minaj. (She too is kicking it on the chart, at No. 14, with the Lil Wayne/Drake–featuring "Truffle Butter.") Spin the new version above—and wonder with us if it'll be the biggest Maroon 5 team-up since Wiz Khalifa pitched in on "Payphone" in 2012.

Nicki leads the track with a cadence and a beat reminiscent of "Super Bass," the 2011 über-smash from her debut album Pink Friday. Also making appearances: Onika's trademark s-s-s-stutter flow and "OW" shout. Aside from her verse, the "Sugar" remix also boasts some hip-hop friendly flourishes.

Nicki's in rare company here—the standard edition of V features but a single collaboration, with Adam Levin's The Voice co-judge Gwen Stefani. The deluxe edition also has Big Sean on a "Maps" remix.
