Hot on the heels of our feature on Johnny Jewel, Chromatics just premiered "In Films," a track from their upcoming Dear Tommy album. The song features Ruth Radelet's vocals being double-tracked, lending "In Films" a spellbinding nuance that befits its atmospheric production style. Lead by Jewel, Chromatics originally promised the album would arrive in stores "in time for Valentine's Day," but no release date has been locked in as of yet.

Formed in 2001, Chromatics have released four studio albums to date. It wasn't until 2007's Night Drive album that the group shifted musical styles from punk to the synth-driven sound they've become known for since. Their cover of Bruce Springsteen's slow-burning ballad, "I'm on Fire," is an absolute stunner of a track.
