Update (6/10): The "U Mad" video's here! Peep it up top.

Original Story (4/10): No doubt a Kanye West feature would make any MC feel like they're at the top of their game. Newcomer Vic Mensa goes hard on the cocky talk with his new track "U Mad" featuring Yeezus himself.

The track opens aggressively, and rather immaturely, with Mensa declaring, "Ooh, I don't need y'all either! / Ooh, don't want to talk about it!" It's all over snappy, trappy snares that, by themselves, don't make for a remarkable production, but once regal trumpets and church-like bells are thrown into the mix there's an undeniable epic feel.

Fuzzy synth lines, booming 808s and, eventually, Kanye are thrown into the mix as Vic focuses on droll rap braggadocio which feels a little too soon in the career of such a new rapper. Is a Kanye feature really giving him that much confidence? No offense, but look what happened to Estelle...

Still, Kanye appearing on Mensa's "U Mad" is another co-sign for his new favorite MC. The duo also team up on a new cut from Kanye's upcoming album called "Wolves" featuring Sia.
