This week's most intriguing musical collaboration comes courtesy of rapper Tech N9ne and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor. The two musicians have teamed up on "Wither," a track from N9ne's forthcoming Special Effects album. The song starts off with N9ne singing over a bed of sparse acoustic guitars before Taylor comes in with an ultra melodic vocal hook. As the cut progresses, an industrial clang of electric guitars and drum machines take "Wither" into a darker direction.

"Working with Tech was a no-brainer," says Taylor, who also fronts hard rockers Stone Sour. "When I heard the music for 'Wither,' I knew the two of us would make something dark and crazy." N9ne added: "This song we did together is such a dynamic roller coaster ride! It starts off calm and cool and then fuckin' gets loud and extremely mean and crazy! It's perfect!"

With Special Effects hitting stores on May 4, Tech N9ne has been in full promotion mode as of late. The Missouri native is currently on a U.S. tour which will include a stop at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, OH on May 17. You can peep Tech's recent visit to Fuse's SKEE TV right here.
