Our man Avicii is back. Perhaps he saw the trailer for Zac Efron's Hollywood dramatization of the life of a handsome young EDM hero on the come-up and needed to set the record straight, get things back to the music.

Whatever the logic, "Waiting for Love" is hot. The 25-year-old Stockholm star has cooked up another jam filled with light-touch synths, a riveting beat, hard piano bangs and, of course, #thatbass.

Listen above, and read along with the lyric video if you're feeling wordy.

The singer on "Waiting for Love" is Simon Aldred, the frontman of British band Cherry Ghost. He sounds pretty robust as he sings about a long week of waiting for love. Also, shouts to Hozier, there's a line that goes "I guess I won't be coming to church on Sunday / I'll be waiting for love / Waiting for love to come around."

"Waiting for Love" is a single from Avicii's upcoming sophomore studio album, Stories. It's the follow-up to 2013's True. It might feature Wyclef Jean.
