"Makes Me Wonder," "Moves Like Jagger," "One More Night," "Maps"—more often than not, you can count on Maroon 5 to deliver an annual summer smash, and their latest is no exception.

"This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherf*cker" is a rushing slice of synth-rock, based around a must-shout-along hook culled from the song's title—although the clean version premiered on iHeartRadio (above), where "motherf*cker" is more pronounced as "mother aqua." So get ready to shout about mother aquas over your radio come summertime.

In his signature falsetto, Adam Levine croons about a materialistic girl whose "mind is not as sharp as all her diamonds."

"This Summer's Gonna Hurt..." is the lead single off an upcoming reissue of the band's fall 2014 album V, coming this summer. So, will it smash the summer or will radio's likely obsession with it make for a mother aqua of a radio hit? We're going with the former.
