While we await details about Miley Cyrus' new album, a song has surfaced out of nowhere. Buckle up.

The track, reportedly titled "Nightmare," is rumored to be a part of Miley's upcoming fifth studio album. The track has our heroine's signature energy and twang, with a chorus that packs a similarly emotional punch to "Wrecking Ball," but with synthier, rockier production. It very well might be a leftover from 2013's Bangerz, but the vibes are reminiscent of The Flaming Lips, who have been Miley's partners in crime lately, revealing a new song "Tiger Dream." Details have been sparse about Miley Cyrus' new album. So far, we know that "We Can't Stop" producer Mike WiLL Made-It is on board (as confirmed by Miley herself in a new Paper magazine cover story) while Flaming Lips, Ariel Pink and "Tuesday" rapper/singer iLoveMakonnen have all talked about their involvement.

We've missed Miley, and this was just the type of song we needed to kick our summer off right. Maybe that new album isn't so far away? Check out everything else we know about the upcoming LP right here.
