Original story (6/26): Pharrell is starting to look like he'll have no problem jetting to an even higher level of success than "Happy" brought him. He's one of Apple Music's Beats 1 DJs—a coveted gig shared only by veterans like DrakeElton John, and BBC radio personality extraordinaire Zane Lowe—and working closely with the new streaming service. (More on that in a minute.)

He's also apparently in the mix with Adele on her secrecy-cloaked follow-up to 21, a.k.a. the biggest album in modern history that wasn't a Taylor Swift album. Nothing could be more unexpected and welcome than that, as we've been waiting for this beast for four-point-five years with almost no information.

Here's the skinny Pharrell dished to Ryan Seacrest:

“She’s kinda like, ‘OK guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes.' So it’s like, OK, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really. Then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy—and that’s what it’s all about.”

So good.

Meanwhile, Pharrell's given us a longer tease of "Freedom," his Apple Music exclusive that'll premiere with the service on June 30. We were already pumped, but we didn't even know this thing would be a video and a single, and we didn't know till know how turnt this thing will get.
